Event Medical Operative / First Responder

I work as an event medical operative providing first response care in dynamic and often high-pressure environments. This role requires rapid assessment, clear communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining patient safety and professionalism.

Key responsibilities and experience:

  • Responding to emergency incidents within the local area when activated.

  • Providing immediate life-saving interventions until ambulance crews arrive.

  • Reassuring patients and relatives during stressful and time-critical situations.

  • Operating independently while following clinical guidance and service protocols.

Community First Responder (Voluntary – GoodSAM)

GoodSAM Responder | Voluntary

I am also registered as a GoodSAM Community First Responder, enabling me to provide rapid assistance at nearby medical emergencies. This role requires readiness, adaptability, and the ability to integrate quickly into ongoing emergency responses.

Key responsibilities and experience:

  • Attending local medical emergencies when alerted via the GoodSAM system.

  • Providing immediate care such as CPR, basic life support, and patient monitoring.

  • Supporting ambulance services by delivering early interventions prior to arrival.

Skills used and developed:

  • Rapid response and situational assessment

  • Basic life support and AED use

  • Calm communication with bystanders and patients

  • Maintaining clinical composure in unpredictable settings
